The recent floods have played havocs with the lives of million of people. Food and clean drinking water are the two urgent requirements for those who are displaced and living in the flood affected areas.

According to the spokesman for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Islamabad, around 1.5 million people are treated for everything from respiratory and skin infections to diarrhea.

Majority of health patients are suffering from waterborne diseases gastro, diarrhoea, dysentery, typhoid, and cholera.

All these deadly diseases are appearing because of consumption of contaminated water by people. Supply of clean drinking water in a large scale is not possible and a costly venture which cash-starved government of Pakistan can afford.
