STRATEGIC PARTNERS ASKARI MASTERCARD & AVARI HOTELS

Askari Commercial Bank Limited has renewed its agreement with Avari Hotels under which Avari Hotels network would continue offering amazing discounts to Askari MasterCard holders in Pakistan and abroad. The agreement was signed between Mr. Arif Sirhindi, Senior Vice President, Head of Credit Card Division, Askari Commercial Bank Limited and Mr. Dinshaw B. Avari, Director, Avari Group, at a ceremony held on July 11 at Avari Hotel, Karachi. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Waheed Zaman, Vice President, Askari MasterCard and Mr. Shaheryar Safdar, Marketing Manager, Askari MasterCard.
Under the agreement, Askari MasterCard holders would be offered up to 60% discount on room rack rates at Avari Hotels in Pakistan and Dubai. The card

 

 

holders would also be entitled to 15% discount on availing services at health clubs, business centers and on utilization of laundry as well as rent a car services at any Avari Hotel network. In addition, there would be a 10% discount at all Avari Hotel restaurants.

Askari MasterCard has seen an increase in market share as its customer base reaches 160,000. It has emerged as an aggressive player in the market by regularly launching joint promotions and discount deals with various organizations for the benefit of card members, hence offering value added services to enhance their ilfestyles. The agreement with Avari Hotels is another milestone in this direction. Avari Hotels cater to the exclusive business class and people with refined taste, whose sophisticated hospitality needs are taken care of with luxurious accommodation, personalized service, rich cuisine and a wide choice of beverages.

ASKARI MASTERCARD SIGN MOU FOR JOINT STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

An impressive ceremony was held in Islamabad on 13th July to mark the signing of MoU for Joint Strategic Alliance between Askari MasterCard and Paktel. Mr. Kalim-ur-Rahman, President, Askari Commercial Bank Limited and Mr. Xavier Rocoplan, Chief Executive Officer, Paktel, signed the MoU. 'CONNECTIT PAKISTAN' EXHIBITION IN DEC

Karachi city will be the host for the country's "premier telecom & IT show", which will attract the attention of over 100 top industrial giants from across the world.

This was stated at a Press Conference, which was addressed by Mr. Mustafa Kamal, Provincial Minister for Information Technology and Mr. Aasim A. Siddiqui, Chairman & Managing Director of the organising company Pegasus Consultancy.

The exhibition, termed as "ConnectIT" is scheduled from 8-10 December this year at the Karachi Expo Centre.

Mr. Mustafa Kamal highlighted the government's policies towards promoting IT culture in the country and appreciated the role of private sector organisations in augmenting the government's efforts.

 

 

Mr. Aasim A. Siddiqui, in his presentation, outlined the salient features of ConnectIT exhibition and explained how this show is different from the other similar events in the country. "The exponential growth of the Information Communications Technology (ICT) industry in Pakistan, with a rising number of domestic and international firms has necessitated the need for a platform for annual interaction between professionals from the IT & Telecom industry," he said.
