COMMENTS:
The rupee once again took the driving seat in the week and managed to stand firm against the US dollar through out. The rupee started fresh week on the overnight firm note and managed to proceed in the same direction with out showing any major change in the exchange price. Mostly through out the week, transactions took place at Rs. 60/45 as there was a decline in the demand of all currencies which stood as the foremost supporting factor to the national currency.

COMMENTS
:
Euro which had been trading in the negative phase for last few weeks showed the same trend this week too and shed heavy grounds amid its severe falls against dollar in the international market. The national currency gained significant value and ended week on a positive note with bright chances that it will show more gains in the coming week as well.

COMMENTS: Like euro, pound sterling also remained under pressure against rupee and lost more grounds in the dealings when compared with last week's prices. The trading as usual remained under the influence of international market performance of the currency and therefore, sterling moved both ways here in the kerb as well.

COMMENTS
: A mix trend was observed in the price of yen against rupee in the week and the currency continued to behave under its international market trend. With its mix performance against the greenback in the international markets, yen was able to behave the same way here in the kerb. The yen was rattled as oil prices rose to touch $60 a barrel for a second day on Friday, extending a streak of record highs.
