Rupee observed both upward and downward trends in the price versus dollar. The dollar kept rupee under tremendous pressure in the most trading sessions of the ending week. The national currency started new week on a negative note and kept losing the grounds versus the greenback. Overall, the dollar set-off the new week at Rs60/12 and gained 0/23 paisa to close week at Rs60/35.

Overall, the national currency opened the new week at Rs77/35 and gave a tough time to the single currency by changing hands at Rs76/35 on Saturday. Thus, the rupee enjoyed the gain of Re1 versus euro.
