COMMENTS: The Pak rupee showed a mix trend of rise and falls here in the kerb this week. The national currency which ended strong last week could not maintain the same momentum due to heavy trading activity since it was the last working week before Eid Holidays. The demand of greenback was significant since customers wanted to complete their business transactions before holidays which resulted in overall decline in its supply and thus the rupee once again came under pressure.

COMMENTS: Pound sterling continued its rising trend against the national currency and added more to its gains this week. The rupee mostly remained under pressure except swift recoveries made on account of sterling's fall on the international desks. The supply of currency was fair here in the market this week since most individuals were booking their short term profits before Eid holidays. Rupee received support from fundamental grounds but remained under pressure on technicals.

COMMENTS: The rupee failed to maintain its weekend trading posture against euro and lost grounds this week. The sound performance of euro on the international desks helped the currency to build pressure on rupee and therefore was able to first recover and then mark gains at weekend.
