The Pakistan Post and DHL, the world's leading Express and Logistics service formally launched a service known as Pakistan Post and DHL Pakistan Cobrand Service from Post Mall, Islamabad.

The Pakistan Post and DHL had earlier entered into an agreement for a co-branded service, which will be offered at 76 General Post Offices (GPOs) across Pakistan. These locations are enabled to have a co-branded counter offering the added international air express service to the public. The selected Pakistan Post GPOs offering the co-branded service will provide the added convenience of time sensitive and door-to-door deliveries of documents and parcels across 120,000 destinations in over 220 countries.

Formally launching the service, Federal Minister for Communication, Mr. Babar Khan Ghori, said that the Government was committed to provide better service to public communicate across the world. This agreement between Pakistan Post and DHL a step forward towards achieving that objective. This would enable the potential customers to get easy accessibility to DHL products, quality service and time sensitive delivery with worldwide coverage. Chairman & D.G Pakistan Post Agha Masood and Chairman DHL, Pakistan, Brigadier (Retd.) Saidq N.K. Awan also spoke on the occasion.

Giving details about the new service, Agha Masood said that the Pakistan Post and DHL had earlier entered into an agreement for a co-branded service, which will be offered at 76 General Post Offices (GPOs) across Pakistan. These locations are enabled to have a co-branded counter offering the added international air express service to the public; he said adding that the selection Pakistan Post GPOs offering the co-branded service will provide the added convenience of time sensitive a door-to-door deliveries of documents and parcels across 120,000 destinations in over 220 countries to everyone, everyday and everywhere. By entering into an agreement with DHL, the Pakistan Post focuses a dynamic vision to offer a co-branded service, which would cater to a segment of their market focusing on superior quality service. Pakistan Post selected DHL Express, which also enjoys being the industry leader in Pakistan, from a list of companies in the air express industry through a stringent criteria process, he added.

Awan said that DHL Pakistan has equipped the co-branded counters at the respective GPOs with computer hardware, software and has imparted intensive training to the Pakistan Post staff for handling Air Express documents and parcels. The industry-specific training covered the whole process from pick-up of the shipment till the delivery with complete customer satisfaction.

The co-branded product offers the customer the facility to track & trace their consignments via DHL's online tracing software, such that the consignor and consignee to know the status of the consignments from pick-up to delivery, he said adding that the potential customers also have the added benefit of calling into DHL Pakistan's nationwide Customer Service hotline for any shipment related queries.
