COMMENTS: The US Dollar showed an upward trend in the kerb this week too and kept tremendous pressure on the national currency. Greenback was to post smart gains in the sessions amid its recovery against euro and pound sterling in the international market and strong demand of the currency here in the kerb. US dollar remained in high demand this week as the supply of the currency remained low on the desks. The major demand came from the banks and goldsmith against the imports which kept pressure on the national currency throughout this week.

COMMENTS: Rupee remained strong against pound sterling this week too and was able to recover significant grounds when compared with last week's exchange prices. The rupee enjoyed gains in most sessions and it was mainly because of fall in the price of sterling in the international market where the currency although showed a mix trend but remained dim most of the time.

COMMENTS: Rupee showed a mix trend against euro this week. The currency moved both ways and both rise and falls in its price were recorded. But mostly, euro remained on top and showed swift gains through out. Mainly the international market trend was being followed and therefore, euro kept reacting towards its international market price changes here in the kerb as well.

COMMENTS: Rupee did not show any major change against yen this week. Yen was higher in most sessions against the US dollar and the same trend was followed here in the kerb dealings as well. The currency did not show any major demand and therefore, the rupee was able to stand firm in the trading sessions.
