COMMENTS: The US dollar showed an upward trend in the kerb this week and kept tremendous pressure on the national currency. This week rupee crossed Rs. 58/- barrier which however narrowed towards end of this week. The demand of dollars here in the kerbs was not high as comapred to last two weeks while the supply also remained normal. The rupee mainly lost because of increase ion price of us dollaes in the international markets and thus ended current week on a negative note.

COMMENTS: Rupee showed a mix trend against euro this week. The currency mived both ways and both rise and falls in its price were recorded. But mostly, the rupee remained on top and showed swift gains throughout mainly the interational market trend was being followed and therefore euro kept reacting towards its international market price changes here in the kerb as well.

COMMENTS: Rupee did not show any major change against yen this week but felt changes due to the international market trend. Yen was lower in most sessions against the US dollar and the same trend was followed here in the kerb dealings as well. The currency did not show any major demand and therefore the rupee was able to stand firm in the trading sessions.
