COMMENTS: The Pak Rupee remained firm against the US dollar this week. Routine rise and falls were recorded in the price of the rupee but mostly, the sufficient supply of the greenback in the market supported the national currency to resist firmly against the demand prevailing in the same.

COMMENTS: The rupee showed a mix trend against Pound this week and moved both ways on the desks. The rupee showed gains at start of the week but lost some grounds as well towards the closing sessions. In the international market, Sterling seems to be suffering from fallout from continued pressure on Tony Blair over his justification for the war on Iraq these days and the currency is under pressure here in the kerb for the same reason.

COMMENTS: At the start of this week, the Rupee continued to show gains against the Euro amid to the continuous fall of the currency against the US dollar and yen in the international market. However, the currency recovered some shine in the Asian markets towards the weekend including the kerb and thus the rupee gave up some of the grounds that it had gained this week and closed the markets at a mix note.

COMMENTS: The Yen started the week positively supported by its gains against the greenback, pound and euro in the international currency market and its immediate impact was also seen in the kerb as well. No major buying and selling of the currency was recorded and the rupee ended the week on a mix note here in the kerb.
