KHYBER BANK LIMITED JOINS MCB M-NET.

Bank of Khyber joins MCB M-Net Largest Shared ATM Network across the country after signing an agreement at MCB, Principal Office, Karachi. MCB M‑Net a broad-based electronic platform which enable customers of M‑Net partner bankers to use ATM facilities offered by MCB.
Qazi Munir Ul Haq, Acting Managing Director Bank of Khyber and Shafiq Ahmed Khan, SEVP, MCB‑signed the agreement also present at signing ceremony among others were Mr. Aftab Manzoor President, MCB, Mr. Amjad Farooq, EVP, Mr. Javed Adhi, SVP IT MCB, Mr. Amjad Ali Arbab, EVP Bank of Khyber and other senior official of the two Banks.

 

 

HABIB BANK AG ZURICH JOINS MCB M-NET

Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd, & Habib Bank AG Zurich entered into an agreement at MCB Principal Office, Karachi for MCB M-Net switch to share MCB's largest ATM network across the country. A mutual beneficial alliance for the customers of Habib Bank AG Zurich to use ATM facilities offered by MCB and other M-Net Partner Banks.

On behalf of the two M-Net partner banks, Mr. Ali Munir, Sr. Executive Vice President (SEVP), MCB and Mr. Muhammad Zahir Esmail, Country Manager/SEVP Habib Bank AG Zurich signed the agreement. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Amjad Farooq, EVP/IT, Mr. Javed Adhi, SVP, IT MCB & Mr. Abdul Aziz Memon, EVP, Habib Bank AG Zurich & others.

AFGHANISTAN TRADE FAIR 2003

National Foods Limited (NFL), recently participated in the Rebuild Afghanistan Trade Fair 2003 held in collaboration with Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Export Promotion Bureau at a local hotel in Peshawar. The objective of the event was to provide opportunities to the exporters to help in the economic rebuilding of Afghanistan by offering collective services.

Around 180 contestants took part in the event and NFL's stall was adjudged as "Best Stall" in the nominated category. Mr. Akram Khan Durrani, Chief Minister, NWFP presented it with a certificate as an appreciation of this.

PSO CONDUCTS ADVANCED POL COURSE FOR ARMED FORCES OFFICERS

The 35th advanced POL course for Pakistan armed forces officers, arranged by the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), commenced at the PSO House, Karachi, on June 23rd, 2003. Managing Director, PSO, Mr Tariq Kirmani, inaugurated the course.

 

 

Addressing the participants, Mr Tariq Kirmani briefed the participants on the transformation of PSO. He gave an overview of the course and also mentioned his efforts to upgrade the syllabus. 

The participants of the course will be briefed on world energy outlook and energy scenario in Pakistan. They will also be informed about the PSO, its operations and the New Vision Programme.

The principle of lubrication, bulk depot operations, maintenance and operation of installations, movement and measurement of POL products, health, safety and environment, quality control measures and CNG are some of the other topics that will be broadly covered.  

Visits of PSO installations are part of the training. The course, being attended by 16 army officers, will run till July 18th, 2003.  

In a signing ceremony at its Corporate Office, Bosicor Pakistan Limited has entered into an agreement with Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co, Ltd. to implement the state of art SAP R/3 Solution, Enterprise Resource Planning solution (ERP), at Bosicor Pakistan Limited, for its Financial systems, Plant Maintenance, Material Management and Human Resource Management systems. As a part of HUBCO's Social Action Programme, The Hub Power Company recently gave a generous donation to Al-Shifa Trust in recognition of their community support efforts.
