PAKISTAN RECEIVES EXPORT ORDER FOR CALL CENTER SYSTEM

ZRG International (Pvt) Ltd., a telecommunication solutions company based in Pakistan has received an export order from M/s Mobitel, a cellular phone company in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, for the supply of an advanced business telecommunication system commonly known as a Call Center. With this order, Pakistan has entered into the lucrative export market of call center systems that has been the domain of telecommunication giants from France, Germany, Sweden and other developed nations.

A Call center system is a combination of telecom hardware and specialized software that is designed to handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a highly customized, controlled and documented way. Any business can use call center system to provide value-added information and high quality personalized services to its customers.

HP BRINGS GREATER CHOICE OF FEATURES

PUBLIC RELATION COUNCIL

A group of public relations professional have formed Public Relation Council of Pakistan.

The meeting nominated Public Relations Officer Syed Ibne Hassan of PICIC as its Convenor and a committee has been formed consisting of public relation managers, practitioners and officers from renowned institutions and agencies.

The Public Relations Council of Pakistan (PRCP) will strive for excellence and building harmony among its members.

The council also decided to hold seminars and workshops etc. on regular basis to provide an opportunity of interaction among each other to update about the latest developments taking place in country and around the globe.

The Council also decided to hold first normal meeting and award ceremony in the second week of June to honour known personalities.

Those who have been invited by the Council include, Advisor to Chief Minister on Information, Salahuddin Haider, Company Secretary and P.R. Head (Pakistan Steel), Dr. Sajid Hussain (Ph.D.), G.M./P.R. PIA, S.M. Imran Gardezi.

UK BASED GROUP ACQUIRES MAJORITY SHAREHOLDING IN IP SECURITIES LIMITED

The Board of Directors of IP Securities announced recently that a UK-based company; Asian Emerging Markets Investments Limited (AEMI) has bought majority equity in the company. The Puri family, which was the main shareholder in the corporate brokerage house, has sold off its majority shareholding to the UK-based firm.

The acquiring company has also decided to change the name of the company from IP Securities Limited to Capital One Equities Limited.

AEMI is a company affiliated to the DCD group, whose business and network of offices today extends from the UK to the USA, the Middle East, South Africa, India, Australia and Pakistan. The total group turnover in 2001 exceeded $600 million.

The DCD Group today encompasses a broad array of businesses ranging from Trade Finance and Factoring, Property Investment and Management, Information Technology and Small Business and Venture Capital.
