It was a wonderful evening of Friday 13th December 2002 in which students of IBA Evening Programme arranged an event captioned as "IBA Event 2002" to bid farewell to the out going batch, the venue was Hotel Indus Hyderabad. Mr. Mazher-ul-Haq Siddiqui, the Vice Chancellor of University of Sindh Jamshoro was the chief guest, Professor Dr. Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed, Director of IBA in the chief presiding guest, Mr. Asif Ali G. Kazi Director Institute of Mathematics & Computer Sciences & Mr. Tariq Baloch Director Operations of Sapphire Group of Companies work guests of honours and along with other guests from industrial and banking sector were present there.

Before jotting down the proceedings it would be appropriate to narrate few words regarding the Institute of Business Administration, Jamshoro University of Sindh.

Everyone knows that Pakistan's progress and strength depends crucially upon commitment and professional efficiency of business leadership that is being produced by the different business schools. To achieve this Objective IBA's Academic Programme has made it possible to produce competitive graduates.

The Institute of Business Administration University of Sindh was established in 1979, under the dynamic leadership of late Prof. Nabi Bux Daudpota. Since its establishment from 1979, IBA has produced hundreds of MBA's including those specialization in MIS. IBA believes in quality education perhaps it is the only business school in Pakistan, which provides the quality education at very affordable cost. MBA's from this institution are performing their duties at national and international levels and these business executives with their devotion and sincere efforts are contributing in the task of nations building and development of national economy.

The faculty members are highly qualified from national and foreign universities and are unmatched in their qualities, abilities and motivational strength.

Japanese say that a new product is like a baby, who needs attention. Fortunately IBA Jamshoro is always being under the genius minds and still now the Prof. Dr. Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed who has enthusiastic personality and cause of honour and proud due to his excellent services and progressive works for the institute and students. No doubt now IBA is the shining star in the galaxy of University of Sindh.

I remember the words of Prof. Dr. Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed in a seminar on Information Technology at Allama Daudpota Auditorium. He said in his speech "We want to give a futuristic vision to our graduates, whereby they can think and analyze independently, with broader vision and make wise decisions, for the future".

IBA is committed to produce business leadership of the highest caliber for nation.

Now I feel comfortable to narrate the saga of the even arranged by MBA Evening students. The function started at 8:00 P.M. The formal proceeding of the function was hosted by Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Memon and Miss Afsheen Sadique Arain students of MBA (Evening) fall session 2001. The Vice Chancellor of University of Sindh Mr. Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqui said in his speech that it is matter of greater honour for me that I have such an excellent business institute in my university. He also appreciated very much the efforts of MBA Evening students. He also appreciated words of one comparer that "Don't take proud for being an MBA but be proud for being an MBA from IBA Jamshoro".

Director IBA Prof. Dr. Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed in his speech mainly focused on quality of education in IBA Jamshoro and give description about different academic activities of IBA. He further said, "We are striving hard and have always remained in the quest of excellence and quality education. We are proud on justifiably counted amongst the best leading business schools of the country."

Other guests in their speeches focused on importance of business education and lack of industrialization in interior Sindh.

At the end of formal session, Vice Chancellor distributed the appreciation certificates among the organizers of event.

After having dinner there was a colorful informal session, which included the variety of programmes. The skits in this session were very meaningful and witty. They were based on very sensitive topics of unemployment and value of talent in our society, in a slightly sarcastic way.

Informal session also included Fun Gala, Singing Competition, Lucky Draws and Pleasant Personality of the evening contest and Musical Function by a local musical group.
