Comments: The Rupee remained firm against the US Dollar this week and showed no rise and fall throughout the week. The demand of the currency remained bleak while the easy supply of the Greenback made it possible for the Rupee to cover up the existing one. During the whole week, the Rupee stood firm at Rs.58.95 and showed no major or minor change in most of the sessions.

Comments: The Rupee showed a mix trend against the Pound this week. In the open market, the Rupee and Pound remained firm against each other and throughout the week, significant rise and fall was not recorded mainly due to elections except the routine fluctuations.

Comments: In the kerb, no major change in the price of Euro and was recorded this week too and the Rupee moved both ways against the currencies on the desks. The Rupee lost grounds in the opening sessions of the week against Euro but was able to recover the same towards the end. The gains of the Euro remained under submissive holds and the Rupee ended the week firmly against the currency.

Comments: In the open market no major change in the price of the Rupee against Yen was recorded throughout the week. The currency stood motionless in most of the sessions for the reason that no big demand came in the market due to slow trading activities from the buyers. On the other hand, the weakness of Yen in the international market against its major rivals also supported the Rupee.
