CITIBANK AND EFU LIFE SIGN EDUCATION PLAN AGREEMENT

Citibank and EFU Life recently signed an agreement offering one of EFU's life insurance products, the Education Plan, to Citibank Credit Cardmembers. Citibank, a pioneer and leader in the credit card product, has launched initiatives that provide safety and security to its Cardmembers. The Education Plan is a simple and convenient way to save money for a child's future.

EFU Life is the largest life insurance company in the private sector with over 60% of the market share. The company provides life insurance coverage to more than 370,000 lives

Through the Education Plan, by paying a monthly premium, Citibank Credit Card customers can now plan ahead for the education of their children. The plan provides required funds to cover educational expenses of children and ensures that the education plans do not suffer a financial setback in case of premature death of the Cardmember.

TCS ROAD TRANSPORT (PVT) LTD RECEIVES 1ST BATCH OF VEHICLES

TCS received the first batch of Toyota Hilux 2002 for Intra-city Road Transport. TCS Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jamil Janjua was also present at the ceremony, which was held at Indus Motors Plant in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamil Janjua said, "After 20 successful years of our mainstay courier business we are now aiming at becoming Complete Express Logistics Solutions Provider, by having at our disposal the best air and surface transport fleet capability.''

NCR SERVICES ACHIEVES ADDITIONAL CISCO CERTIFICATIONS

EMIRATES SKYCARGO AWARDS TOP STATIONS

At the annual gathering of Emirates Cargo Managers in Dubai, Pakistan topped the poll twice, taking the trophies for the Best Performance Worldwide and the Best E-Business Performance. The other winning stations were: Best Performance in Europe and North America - Italy; Best Performance Middle East and North Africa - Saudi Arabia; Best Performance West Asia and Pacific Rim - Thailand; Best GSA Performance Worldwide - Taiwan; Most Improved Station - Cairo.

The conference, on the theme New Horizons - brought together cargo managers from all points on the network for a review of the past year and an analysis of the year ahead.

KARACHI SHERATON DIPLOMATIC COOKBOOK

The only internationally managed five-star hotel in Pakistan, the Karachi Sheraton Hotel & Towers has found the recipe for helping the underprivileged — a charity cookbook where the authors are all diplomats and their wives.

"From the Diplomat's Kitchen", the brainchlid of the Karachi Sheraton Hotel and Towers, has just rolled off the presses, looms as one of the publishing success stories of the hospitality industry.

The book has been produced and published by the hotel with all royalties going to Karachi's Lourdes Convent, a private school that started 28 years ago and helps poor children from kindergarten to matriculation. The school traditionally struggles for funds in the ultra-poor port city.
