Prof Dr. S. M. Makhdumi is the Director Academic of Biztek Institute of Business & Technology he has done his Masters and Ph.D in Engineering from United Kingdom. He has an experience of over thirty years in the fields of teaching and administration.

Global Educational Consultants (GEC) has been established by a group, which has dedicated itself to provide quality and affordable education in the field of Business Studies, Information Technology and Management Sciences. To get the ball rolling a city campus with the name of BIZTEK on Main Karsaz Road has already started working since June 2001, which is affiliated with S.B.T.E. and is an authorized Testing Center of Virtual University Enterprises, where certificate and diploma courses in Information Technology are offered. A Campus site was acquired measuring 11 acres of land on main Korangi Creek Road, which has now turned into an Academic Location. With the commitment of providing quality education to the nation, a main campus of BIZTEK has been built to provide higher education in affiliation with Girne American University (GAU).

The management selected affiliation with GAU, since it is accredited by various authorities internationally and its degree programs are recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Pakistan. The courses have been designed by GAU keeping in mind the futuristic needs of the young generation. The required faculty from GAU will be available to this Institute. The programs have been so formulated that credit hours requirement, rules and regulations for academic pursuit are in line with any world-renowned University whether in USA or UK of good standing. The cost has been minimized keeping the income of our country in our minds. With best academic and allied facilities at the University Campus, one can graduate in Business Administration, with specializations in diverse fields in 32 months at a cost less than one fifth (1/5) of the cost of studying in USA and one third (1/3) of the cost of studying in TRNC.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AT BIZTEK: The institute is affiliated with GAU, whose programs are approved by the UGC Pakistan and are of high academic standards. Course contents, credit hours and duration of programs are in line with those offered at GAU. There different levels of degree will be awarded in Business Administration. The credit hours obtained at BIZTEK are transferable to any University in UK or USA.

Associate Degree (ASc): This Degree program of 4 Semesters (Typically 20 courses of 60 credit hours dependent upon specialization) to be completed in 16 months is offered with emphasis in the following fields of Business Administration.

Bachelors of Science (BSc): BIZTEK offers 8 Semesters (Typically 40 courses of 120 credit hours dependent upon specialization) to be completed in not earlier than 32 months to attain a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The specializations offered are

Masters Program (MBA): The Masters Program is of 45 credit hours comprising 15 courses of 3 credit hours each. It can be completed in 12 months. Specialization will be available in the following fields.

BIZTEK Campus and its Facilities: The Campus is situated on an area of 500,000 sq. ft. (over 11 acres) of land. Initially a three-storied building having built up area of over 35,000 sq. ft. has been completed with all the essential facilities required for a modern institute of higher learning. The campus has a unique and outstanding environment because of its location and architecture. It is one of the unique Institutes in the private sector, which has facilities for sports and extra-curricular activities alongwith hi-tech educational environment, state of the art computer labs and a highly functional library. The faculty is dedicated to give its best under the guidance of Lecture Halls, Classrooms, Computer Labs, Faculty Rooms, Library, Administration, Cafeteria and Student Centre. All the classrooms, labs etc. are air-conditioned to provide a comfortable and a peaceful environment for learning.

The classrooms are furnished specially for the purpose of delivering lectures. They are equipped with all teaching aids such as OHP and multimedia projection systems. Spacious Classrooms are available which are fully air-conditioned and well furnished.

The Institute has computer laboratories equipped with Pentium-III workstations for students. The PCs are connected to local area network of the institute with an unlimited access to the Internet. The machines run on Window NT 4.0 and Unix Operating Systems. Application Software with an individual account for every student for email service is provided, which can be used from the residence of the students. A fast dedicated link via Satellite is provided with online servers. Laboratories are open during the institute timings.

Sophisticated Printers, Scanners and CD ROMS's have also been installed inside the computer labs, Well-trained IT staff is available in the computer labs for the guidance and assistance of the students.

A fully air-conditioned Central Library is present which houses all relevant text books required by the students. A reference library section is also provided which has subscribed journals and magazines of International repute. The institute is connected to main Library at GAU through Internet so the Library will also act as Information Resources Centre.

In order to facilitate the students to reach the main campus, the institute has organized a Shuttle Van Service from all major areas of the city. This special service has been arranged for the students to ensure timely arrival and to avoid the problem of late entry to their respective classes and to maintain discipline inside the premises of the campus.

The institute has a fully air-conditioned cafeteria with a capacity of more than 100 students. The Cafeteria caters to the needs of the students like drinks, snacks and meals. A large area has been provided to keep the environment healthy, relaxing and pleasant.

There is a Centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of over 300 students. A wide range of extra curricular activities will be staged in the auditorium. It is equipped with all the facilities required for holding seminars, lectures and educational film shows, etc.

A stimulating environment and extra curricular activities help to build the character of an individual. It is more so when the youth of the country is guided in the right direction. As Quaid-e-Azam once said "Sound mind must have sound bodies". The administration of the institute has undertaken the task of inculcating such a spirit by providing an indoor gymnasium and large area of playing fields. Formation of student societies will be undertaken to take part in various extra curricular activities within the Institute as well as inter collegiate competitions at national and international levels. The private institutes should provide such facilities/activities for building up a healthy and intellectual human being.

A complete complex for sports and other facilities has been constructed which includes snooker, gymnasium, table tennis, lawn tennis and jogging track. In the next phase, the institute has planned to extend its sports facilities by building up a swimming pool, cricket ground, etc.
