Comments: In the kerb, the Rupee remained unchanged against the Green back and made no major movement against the rival, prolonged the week with a firm note and thus ended the week with a positive note for the fourth consecutive week this month. The Rupee made swift grounds in the trading and remained firm throughout the week on the desks against its major rival, the Green back.

Comments: Pound Sterling dominated the market this week as the currency marched towards record highs against the Pak Rupee. The Rupee remained under tremendous pressure against the Sterling in modest sessions of the week as the currency remained quite strong on the international trading desks and thus created its impact in the kerb too. The Pound Sterling ended the week showing a gain of Rs. 2/90, which was a major blow for the Rupee against the Sterling in the last few months of trading.
