FOREX KERB WATCH

Comments by OWAIS S. KALIA (Khanani & Kalia)

Comments: In the domestic market, the Rupee traded under pressure against the Green back and more loss in its value was recorded as the high demand of the Green persisted in the market in the first week of the new fiscal year. The Rupee for most of the time showed a downward drift and the Green seldom gave any chance to the national currency to come up. Buying pressure existed in the market while low volume of selling made the Rupee to shed its value as a result.

Comments: In the national market, both increase and decrease in the value of the Rupee and Yen were recorded. In the international market, Yen kept the US Dollar under pressure by gaining substantially on the first three days of the week, however, the Green recovered and gained swiftly in the closing sessions of the trading.
