Business and Economics Society International conference was held in January 2012. Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed gave a presentation on the already accepted paper entitled: "World of Exports: A Review of Global and Regional Dimensions".

This paper together with the transcript of its multi-media presentation are available on websites (www.kamjadsaeed.edu.pk and www.puhcbf.edu.pk).

The paper reviewed export developments on global basis covering 131 countries based on information available in several sources including World Development Report 2012.

The review includes top 12 export leaders of the World with China as number one, followed by Germany as number two and USA trailing at number three.

Selected regions for analysis of export performance included G-8, NAFTA (North American Free Trade Area), D-8 and SAARC. The paper ends up with a plea that export led growth strategy be used to accelerate socioeconomic development in general in the World and in particular in developing countries for quantum jump in production cycle, job creation, alleviation of poverty and aiming at higher standard of living of masses across the board to ensure socioeconomic stability in the World.

This event was attended by delegates from 22 countries. Technical papers were presented on several themes which included Strengthening the Ethical Practices of Organization, Industrial Organization Issues & Spatial Competition, Liquidity, Public Sector Wages & the NAIRU, Production, Regulation & Information Technology, The "Real" Economy, Education & Internet Firms, Education, Growth, Production Quality & Trade, Forecasting & Ergonomics, Human Resources, Vector Clustering & Ergonomics, Ethics and Legal Issues, Risk Management, Innovation & Human Trafficking, Natural Environment Issues, Intangible Capital, Public / Private Health & Cultural Change, Human Resources & Intangible Capital, Information Issues & Community Governance, Mergers, Earnings Forecasts & Non-Performing Loans, Global Knowledge Hubs, Innovation Activities & Ethics, Ethical Organization, Public Management & IT in India, Economic Development Issues, Career Development, Higher Education & Innovation.

Excellent logistics were provided by organizers, which enabled the event to achieve grand success.

Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed offered expert comments in some concurrent sessions, which included the following:

The Conference ended with the determination that younger generation will be prepared to face the challenges of 21st century to ensure their participation in the socioeconomic projects to achieve productive results.
