M.M. Commodities was established in March 2002. Mrs. Madiha Moulvi is its sole proprietor and the Chief Executive. The Company is a component within the M.M. Group Companies which embodies diverse business activities.

The Company is managed by sharing the resources of the Group which makes its cost effective. The in-house Shipping, Chartering, Stevedoring and Warehousing facilities places M.M. Commodities in an advantageous position since no other exporter has these facilities under one roof. M.M. Storage Park located on the Main Access Road to PQA with a weigh bridge attached is utilized for storage of raw rice and preparing it for export.

The Company's vision is to be the top most rice exporter in the country, and to consistently deliver unequalled product to its customers both locally as well as internationally.

For the present M.M. Commodities is concentrating on Long Grain White Rice Irri 6. The Company has mainly been exporting to East & West Africa and Madagascar. The major buyers during 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 includes. Louis Dreyfus Of Geneva, Adm-Rice, Inc Of USA, Ascot Commodities Of Geneva, Phoenix Commodities Of Thailand, Ovlas Trading Sa Of Lebanon, Olam International Of Singapore, Holbud Limited - UK, Voest Alpine Of Austria.

The Company has been in the market for only three years and in this short times the local and export sales from Rs. 23 millions in 2004-2005 rose to Rs. 1759 millions in 2005-2006.

The Company's success can be attributes to a cautious approach and a unique marketing strategy. The quality product and the timely delivery earned the Company a good name. M.M. Commodities is extremely quality conscious and is ISO 9001-2000 Certified. The quality of product is constantly being checked and supervised internally throughout the process.

Company's exports earned the Company the FPCCI award for the Best Lady exporter for the year 2004- 2005. The Company has also been nominated by the FPCCI for "CNCI ACHIEVER OF INDUSTRIAL EXCELLENCE 2006" which is annually awarded by the CEYLON NATIONAL CHAMBER OF INDUSTRIES. M.M. Commodities has also qualified to receive REAP's Export Trophy Award for the year 2002-2003 and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Best Lady Exporter Award for 2004-2005.

As a policy the Company believes in consolidation before any further expansion. The Company is in the process of cementing the present ties and increasing the volume of export within the present market.

The success story of the Company's achievements in such a short span of about four years is praise worthy specially in the context of the fact that M.M. Commodities is being managed by a Lady Mrs. Madiha Moulvi who is relatively new to the Trade.
