GOOGLE ANDROID O RELEASES NEXT WEEK:

Android O (Oreo) or Android O is to be launched at an event in New York next week. Google has been teasing latest version of its Android OS since May. The company released developer previews for developers and fans to get feedback on new features and managed to fix them in beta. Android O will first debut on Nexus and Pixel devices and from thereon it will be on OEMs to roll it out for their devices.

ASIAN REPORT SAYS IPHONE 8 FACE RECOGNITION FEATURE WILL WORK IN ‘MILLIONTHS OF A SECOND’:

A recent Korean report on Samsung-made OLED display for iPhone 8 claims that speed of facial-recognition system used in Apple iPhone 8 will work in “millionths of a second”. Well, It is not yet sure whether iPhone 8 will have a TouchID feature or it is replaced by Facial Recognition System for both unlock and Apple Pay authorization.

SOLUTION TO TRANSFER AND MOVE FILES BETWEEN CLOUDS:

Here, we can use the MultCloud to put all the cloud drives together, and then manage all the files from the Web interface directly. We can solve all the trouble on the cloud online, even if there are a bunch of cloud drive account, there is no need to worry about managing cloud drives one by one.

AGP FINDS RS1.3TR IRREGULARITIES IN POWER SECTOR:

The auditor general of Pakistan (AGP) is reported to have found more than Rs1.32 trillion worth of embezzlement, irregularities, recoveries and over payments by companies and organisations under the Water and Power Ministry during 2016-17.

EMAIL PRANK ‘TRICKS’ BREITBART EDITORS:

A British “prankster” has said editors at right-wing news website Breitbart replied to spoof emails purporting to come from Trump adviser Steve Bannon. YouTube has reinstated thousands of videos documenting violence in Syria that were removed “mistakenly”. Several videos were flagged as inappropriate by an automatic system designed to identify extremist content.

DOJ NARROWS TRUMP PROTESTERS DATA DEMAND:

Visitors to an anti-Trump website will probably not have their internet protocol addresses turned over to the Department of Justice, after a legal standoff with a US web company. DreamHost had argued the DoJ’s warrant would have revealed 1.3 million IP addresses.

ROYAL MAIL’S NEW ELECTRIC VANS UNVEILED:

Royal Mail is beginning trials in London of nine fully electric vans with ranges of up to 100 miles. The vehicles, which come in various sizes, will distribute post from the central London depot.

CHINA RELAUNCHES WORLD’S FASTEST TRAIN:

China’s fleet of high-speed trains is set once again to become the world’s fastest. The top speed of the Fuxing or “rejuvenation” bullet trains was capped at 300km/h (186mph) in 2011 following two crashes that killed 40 people. From next week, some of the trains will once again be allowed to run at a higher speed of about 350 km/h.
