GSMA CALLS ON PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT TO UNLOCK ITS DIGITAL FUTURE:
The GSMA today set out a number of measures that Pakistan will need to take in order to close the digital divide in the country and reach its Vision 2025 goals. In a white paper prepared by GSMA Intelligence, supported by Deloitte, it identified that only 47 per cent of the population subscribe to a mobile service, and only 10 per cent subscribe to a 3G or 4G data service.

The interior ministry on Thursday said Facebook would send a delegation to Pakistan for talks over blasphemous content. The social media giant has also nominated a focal person to contact the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), expressing the hope that dialogue would lead to resolution of the issue.

McDonald’s delivery app in India leaked personal information about 2.2 million users, a security firm has found. A poorly configured server gave anyone access to the names, emails, home addresses and phone numbers of users, said Fallible.
UBER PLEDGES TO MAKE DRIVERS HAPPIER:
Uber’s relationship with its drivers has become increasingly strained, the company admitted, as it vowed to improve its service. The ride-sharing firm told the media some of its policies were “unintentionally stacked against drivers”.
